Jagannath University successfully organized its grand Alumni Meet “Punarnava-2025” on 29th November 2025 (Saturday) at the Sitapura Campus, Jaipur. The event brought together alumni from diverse batches and programs, creating a vibrant evening of nostalgia, celebration, and togetherness.

The meet witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of distinguished alumni who returned to their alma mater to reconnect with former classmates, faculty members, and the university community. The event served as a platform to strengthen the bond between the university and its alumni while celebrating their achievements and contributions to society.

Program Flow & Highlights

• Registration & Welcome (04:00 PM – 04:40 PM)
  The event began at 4:00 PM with the registration and a traditional welcome of the alumni. Each alumnus was greeted warmly with a Tilak ceremony and a Rose flower, symbolizing respect, affection, and the university’s heartfelt appreciation for their return. The ambiance was filled with nostalgia as alumni reconnected with their teachers, friends, and the campus that shaped their journey.
• Inaugural Ceremony: A Traditional Beginning (05:00 PM – 05:05 PM)
  The formal program began with the Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment. This was accompanied by the melodious Sarasvati Vandana, invoking blessings of Goddess Sarasvati and setting a serene and auspicious tone for the evening.
• Welcome Addresses by University Leadership (05:05 PM – 05:30 PM)
  

  A series of inspiring speeches by the university's esteemed dignitaries enriched the occasion:

  • Registrar, Mr. Tanmay Patnayak
    He warmly welcomed all alumni, acknowledging their presence as a source of pride and inspiration. He emphasized the importance of alumni in shaping the university’s vision and upholding its legacy.
  • Pro President (Pro Vice-Chancellor) & Dean of E&T, Prof. Om Prakash Sharma
    He highlighted the immense contributions made by alumni to their professions and to society. He spoke about future initiatives to strengthen alumni-university relationships and enhance collaborative opportunities.
  • President (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Vaishali Sharma
    She delivered a comprehensive and inspiring address, emphasizing the crucial role of alumni in enhancing the university’s national and global reputation. She appreciated the success stories of alumni and extended a warm invitation to them to become active partners in future academic and developmental endeavors.

• Unveiling of Alma Konnect – IV (05:30 PM – 05:35 PM)

  One of the central highlights was the launch of the university’s prestigious alumni magazine, “Alma Konnect – IV.” The launch marked an important milestone in strengthening alumni engagement.showcasing inspiring alumni stories, institutional achievements, and memorable moments.

• Cultural Performances and Entertainment (05:35 PM – 06:25 PM)
  

  The event progressed with a series of culturally rich and energetic performances by students. These included:

  • A captivating Solo Dance performance that set a cheerful mood for the evening.
  • A video presentation showcasing memorable moments from Alumni Meet 2024, allowing alumni to relive past celebrations.
  • An engaging Western Group Dance, adding excitement and youthful energy to the event.
  • Glimpses of alumni achievements, displayed creatively, highlighting their diverse accomplishments.
  • Fun games and interactive activities, creating lively bonding moments between alumni and students.
  • A vibrant Haryanvi Group Dance, which added cultural flavor and entertainment to the celebration.

• Alumni Award Ceremony (06:25 PM – 06:50 PM)
  

  The most prestigious segment of “Punarnava-2025” was the Alumni Award Ceremony, organized to honor outstanding alumni who have excelled in their respective fields. The following award categories were presented to deserving alumni:

  Additionally, Faculty Alumni Awards were presented to alumni who are currently serving within the Jagannath Group and are contributing to strengthening the university’s legacy through their service, expertise, and commitment.

• Alumni Speeches, Vote of Thanks & Closing Ceremony (07:20 PM – 07:40 PM)
  

  The event further included a segment where alumni shared their heartfelt experiences, memories, and journeys after graduation. Their reflections added emotional value to the meet, allowing students and faculty to understand the profound impact of Jagannath University on their lives.
